Crimson Tide Sangria Recipe
This vibrant sangria is a bold, fruity drink perfect for gatherings or relaxing evenings. Its rich crimson hue comes from a mix of red wine and fresh fruits.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry red wine (e.g., Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur (e.g., Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh pomegranate juice (optional, for deeper color)
  • 2 tbsp sugar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries (or pomegranate arils)
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup soda water or sparkling water (for topping)
  • Ice cubes

 

Instructions

1. Prepare the Base:

  • In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, orange liqueur, brandy, orange juice, and pomegranate juice.
  • Add the sugar or simple syrup and stir until dissolved.

2. Add Fruits:

  • Toss in the sliced orange, lemon, cranberries, and strawberries.
  • Stir gently to mix the flavors.

3. Chill:

  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.

4. Serve:

  • Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the top, making sure to include some fruit pieces.
  • Top with a splash of soda water for a refreshing fizz.

5. Garnish (Optional):

  • Add a sprig of fresh mint or a sugared cranberry skewer for an elegant touch.
