Scrambled Eggs

Recipe: Classic Scrambled Eggs

Scrambled eggs are a simple yet delightful dish, perfect for breakfast or brunch. Here’s how to make light, fluffy scrambled eggs that are creamy and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs like chives or parsley, shredded cheese, or a dash of hot sauce for garnish

Instructions

1. Crack and Whisk the Eggs:

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl.
  2. Add milk or cream if desired (this makes the eggs creamier but is optional).
  3. Whisk the eggs vigorously with a fork or whisk until the yolks and whites are fully combined and frothy.

2. Heat the Pan:

  1. Place a non-stick skillet or frying pan over low to medium heat.
  2. Add butter or oil and let it melt, coating the surface evenly.

3. Cook the Eggs:

  1. Pour the whisked eggs into the pan.
  2. Let the eggs sit undisturbed for about 20–30 seconds until they just start to set around the edges.
  3. Using a spatula, gently push the eggs from the edges toward the center. Repeat this process, forming soft curds.
  4. Continue stirring gently until the eggs are just set but still slightly runny. They will continue to cook from residual heat.

4. Season and Serve:

  1. Remove the pan from heat and season the eggs with salt and pepper.
  2. Serve immediately on toast, alongside a side of sautéed vegetables, or with crispy bacon.

Optional Additions:

  • Stir in shredded cheese during the last few seconds of cooking for a cheesy scramble.
  • Sprinkle fresh herbs on top for a burst of flavor.
  • Add cooked onions, spinach, or mushrooms for extra nutrition.

Enjoy your fluffy, buttery scrambled eggs! 🥚✨
